How To Safely & Effectively Detox

Fasting is effective & safe for detoxing; it cleanses your liver, kidneys, & colon; purifies your blood; and flushes out toxins. A 3 day live juice fast once a month is recommended.

A live-juice fast should be followed to supply the body with vitamins, minerals, & enzymes. If during the fast you feel light headed or dizzy include some broth because your body needs salt.

Raw fruit & veggies for 2 days to prepare for the fast, so that there is less of a shock to your system. While fasting, drink ten 8-ounce glasses of steam-distilled water a day, plus pure juice and up to 2 cups of herbal tea a day. Dilute all juice with water, 1 part water to 3 parts juice. No orange or tomato juice & avoid all sweeteners and additives.

Fresh lemon juice is best: 1 lemon juiced to 1 cup warm water. Apple, beet, cabbage, carrot, celery, and grape juices are also good. Green drinks made from green leafy vegetables are excellent detoxifiers. Raw cabbage is particularly good for ulcers, cancer, & all colon problems; drink as soon as prepared so it doesn’t loose it’s vitamin content.

Apples are the only fruit that should be added to vegetable juices.

After the fast, 2 days of raw fruits and vegetables. The desired effect can be ruined by eating cooked foods immediately afterwards. The first meals should be frequent & small due to decreased size of the stomach and the amount of secreted digestive juices.

Herbal teas to try once or twice a day: alfalfa, burdock, chamomile, dandelion, milk thistle, red clover, & rose hips to rejuvenate liver & cleanse the bloodstream. *dont use chamomile if allergic to ragweed.

To rebuild immune function, aid in bladder function, and rid the colon of unwanted bacteria, drink 2 parts echinacea and pau d’arco tea mixed with 1 part unsweetened cranberry juice 4 times a day. * don’t use echinacea for more than 3 months, and don’t use if allergic to ragweed.

Peppermint tea for calming & strengthening nerves, for indigestion, nausea, & gas.

Slippery elm tea for inflammation of the colon. Also beneficial when used as an enema.

Take 2 capsules of garlic twice a day; before, during, & after fast to promote overall health, aid healing, & rid colon of many types of parasites.

If you must eat during the fast, eat a piece of watermelon. Always eat watermelon by itself, no additional foods. You can also try applesauce-fresh not canned- made in a blender or food processor. Leave the skin on, do not cook.

Take a fiber supplement before & after the fast, not during, to promote cleansing cleansing. Oat bran is excellent, avoid wheat bran as it may irritate the colon. Psyllium seed husks & ground flaxseed are good too. Be sure to drink a large glass of water with any fiber capsule because it expands & soaks up a lot of water.

Don’t chew gum while fasting. It starts the digestive process and when there is no food in the stomach trouble occurs.

Spirulina can be taken; it’s high in protein, vitamins, and minerals, plus chlorophyll for cleansing. If tablets take 5 three times a day, if powder take 1 teaspoon three times a day mixing the powder with a cup of unsweetened juice.

You may experience some unpleasant symptoms (fatigue, body odor, dry scaly skin, skin eruptions, headaches, dizziness, irritability, anxiety, confusion, nausea, coughing, diarrhea, dark urine, dark foul smelling stools, body aches, insomnia, sinus discharge, visual or hearing problems) during a fast. They’re not serious and should pass quickly. To alleviate them use a daily lemon juice enema to cleanse the colon and daily coffee enema to rid the liver of impurities. And don’t forget to eat salted broth.

During your fast be sure to get adequate rest, if necessary take a nap.

An excellent juice for healing many illnesses, juice together 3 carrots, 3 kale leaves, 2 stalks celery, 2 beets, 1 turnip, 1/4 pound spinach, 1/2 head cabbage, 1/4 bunch parsley, 1/4 onion, & 1/2 clove garlic.

Rinse mouth with fresh lemon juice to relieve coated tongue and unpleasant taste in mouth.

While fasting, continue normal daily routine including moderate exercise. Avoid strenuous exercise.

Dry brushing helps rid the skin of toxins & dead cells.

You’ll need 7 days.

2 days eat raw fruit & veggies, take 2 capsules of garlic twice a day, and take a fiber supplement with a large glass of water.

3 days juice fast. Everyday drink 80 ounces of steam distilled water, pure juice diluted 1:3 water to juice, up to 2 cups herbal tea, and take 2 capsules of garlic twice a day.

2 days eat raw fruits & veggies in small frequent meals, take 2 capsules of garlic twice a day, and take a fiber supplement with a large glass of water.
